Passing of Past Fire Chief Ronnie Long

Trappe Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of a long-time member and Past Chief, Ron Long on Thursday, March 5, 2020 after a strong battle with cancer.

Ronnie Long rose though the ranks from Junior Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, to eventually becoming Fire Chief at Trappe Fire Company. Ron recently returned to active duty at Trappe Fire Company after having moved away from the area for a short period of time. He will be deeply missed by everyone in emergency services in Montgomery County.

Trappe Fire Company expresses our deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Ron's family, friends, and co-workers.

Services for Ronnie Long will be Saturday, March 14th, 2020. There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. EDT to 10:45 a.m. EDT followed by a funeral service at 1100 a.m. EDT. All services will be held at the Trinity Church on Main St in Collegeville, PA.

A burial of his ashes will be at the Trinity Church Cemetery immediately after the funeral service.

I have known Ron Long for over 34 years ... we went to high school together ... along with his Dad Collegeville Fire Police Member Jerry Stott & and his Mom Collegeville Ladies Auxiliary Member Bonnie Stott ... So saddened to learn of his passing.... Thank you Ron and your family for your Service to our communities.... Thoughts, Prayers and Love sent to the family and Ron's co-workers

I have known and worked along side Ron Long for over 34 years. I have known his family forever.... his Dad Collegeville Fire Company Fire Police Officer Jerry Stott and his Mom Bonnie Stott Collegeville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Member and his Grandfather Collegeville Fire Company Fire Police Officer Ira Snyder ...
