Brush and High Tension Wires on Fire in Royersford section of Upper Providence Township |

Station 98, Chester County Engine 63, and Tac 77 were dispatched to a brush fire between Cricket Lane and Hafner Road in Upper Providence Township at 18:13 hours. Lieutenant 77 arrived on scene to find a high tension line which exploded, causing a brush fire. Deputy 98 arrived and took command. Command requested all units go to the PECO substation to gain access to the fire. PECO arrived and secured the power to allow firefighters to extinguish the fire. Crews from Engine 98 and Tac 77 used water cans rakes, and other forest fire equipment to extinguish the fire. Fire was placed under control at 18:40 hours. |
