Three Separate Vehicle Crashes in Trappe Borough Cause Traffic Trouble

Trappe Fire and EMS were extremely busy with multiple crashes on West Main Street in Trappe Borough on Saturday.

The first crash occurred in the 100 block of W Main St in Trappe Borough at 1103 am. Engine 77 and Squad 34 were dispatched to a vehicle fire after the crash. Engine and Chief 77 arrived to no fire but assisted with fluid control, traffic control, and checking on injuries. All units were clear at 1244 hours. One lane of traffic was blocked for an hour.

The second crash occurred near 717 W Main St in Trappe Borough at 1309 hours. Engine 77, Squad 34, and Medic 324 were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries. Engine and Chief 77 arrived to find three vehicles involved with one into a pole. 324-1 requested two additional ambulances bringing Medic 324-12 and 325-3. Engine 77 assisted with stabilization, and fluid control. Fire police had West Main Street closed until 1418 hours.

The third crash occurred in front the Sunrise Car Wash on West Main Street at 1611 hours. Engine 77, Medic 324-1, and Squad 34 responded to a one vehicle crash into a pole with live wires down.

Battalion 77 arrived to find multiple injuries. Two additional Ambulances were dispatched. Due to live wires and PECO replacing the pole, West Main Street was closed for an extended time.

The roadway is now open.
