E77 Responds to Working House Fire in Mont Clare

At 0852 hours, Montgomery County Radio dispatched a working fire in a multiple occupant building with entrapment. Callers reported a victim on the front lawn and first arriving police units pulled another female from the building.

Station 99, Chester L65, E34, E77 and E98 were dispatched along with the township paid staff E93 for flames from the first floor at 209 Bridge St.

Chief 93 arrived at 0857 hours reporting heavy fire showing from a 2.5 story multiple apartment building, and requested the second alarm struck. Battalion 99 arrived at 0903 hours and took incident command.

E77 responded and arrived and it's crew was split into incident command roles and roof operations with other crews.

Multiple mutual aid stations from Montgomery and Chester County responded to bring the fire under control in about 2 hours.

Trappe EMS (Phoenixville Division) and Trappe EMS (Main Station) were on scene for Firefighter rehab and to transport the burn victim.

Once the scene was under control, 99 Command released E77 while Fire Police remained on location till about 1230 hours controlling traffic.

The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by Upper Providence Twp. and PSP Fire Marshalls.
