Working House Fire Early Saturday Morning

Stations 77, 34 and 98 were dispatched to the 500 block of Old State Road in the Trappe section of Upper Providence Twp for a reported house fire. Police and FM68-2 (Colelli) arrive on location with fire showing on two (2) floors in the rear of the house. All resident got out of the house and were alerted by their working smoke detector.

Units arrived on scene to find a long driveway and they laid 5 inch hose up the driveway. Crews went in service with an exterior attack and Ladder 98 used their ladder pipe.

AC77 (Bolger) arrived and took over "Old State" command and requested 3 additional engines to assist.

Medic 325 transported the homeower to a local hospitial for treatment after suffering from smoke inhalation. There was no injuries to fire crews.

Station 41, North Penn Gooodwill responded to supply food and drinks.

After being on scene for about 8 hours, crews departed.


Ladder 77 returned around 1000 hours to assist the Upper Providence Fire Marhsall with investigation and additional overhaul.
